I am an energetic, driven, go-getter but a lot of my students also describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and comforting. I thank yoga for bringing that balance to me. Yoga helped me feel secure and stable in times of tremendous confusion and chaotic change since the age of 15.
I became a yoga teacher in 2008 after burnout in the social services field. At that time I was a workaholic with no time for myself, no concept of self-care, and was just running myself ragged on the hamster wheel of life. My yoga practice literally woke me up, helped me to take charge of my life, and become the person I am today: balanced, still loving chocolate and red wine as much as kale, and deep breathing. My goal is to help you find that balance so that yoga can be the anchor that grounds you in times of transition and the wings that unfurl when it's time to take off confidently towards new ventures.
